Motorola Launches Triple-camera 5G Phone In China

Motorola launched its latest 5G flagship mobile phone, Moto Edge X30, in China on Thursday night. Industry analysts said that the launch marks Motorola’s bid to gain a larger share in the world’s largest smartphone market.

Moto Edge X30 equipped with Qualcomm’s new flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Equipped with a 6.7-inch flexible OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Bringing a smoother and faster experience for gamers and video viewers.

The Edge X30 starts at 2,999 yuan (US$471) and comes with a three-camera setup. Including a 50-megapixel main rear camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 60-megapixel punch-out front selfie camera camera. However, It also has a built-in 5,000 mAh battery that supports 68W fast charging.

According to data from the market consulting company IDC. The China’s smartphone shipments in the third quarter of this year were 80.8 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.7%. The reasons for the decline are higher average selling prices and the continued lack of products that can significantly stimulate demand.

IDC predicts that by the end of this year, global smartphone shipments will reach 1.38 billion units, an increase of 7.7% over 2020. This trend expected to continue until 2022, with an expected year-on-year growth of 3.8%, and shipments will reach 1.43 billion units.
