China’s Ministry of Commerce Passed The Labor Prevention Law to reject economic bullying in the United States

BEIJING-The Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement on Friday that because the United States signed the so-called Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. Furthermore, The Chinese Ministry of Commerce deplores and firmly opposes US economic bullying.

The statement said that the US bill classifies all products produced in Xinjiang. As “forced labor” products and prohibits the import of Xinjiang-related products.

Disregarding facts, the US adopts unilateralism, protectionism, and bullying under the guise of “human rights”. Which severely undermines market principles, violates WTO rules, and seriously harms the vital interests of Chinese companies and consumers. Furthermore, The statement stated that it would undermine the stability of the global industrial chain and supply chain and the recovery of the global economy.

The statement said that the U.S.’s statement about “forced labor” in Xinjiang is purely fabricated and has no factual basis.

The Chinese Criminal Law clearly prohibits forced labor. Under the guise of human rights issues, the United States has groundlessly accused and hyped up the myth of “forced labor”. Other Xinjiang-related issues, discredited China’s image, interfered in China’s internal affairs, contained China’s development, and undermined prosperity. However, the statement said that Xinjiang is stable.

China will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty. However, security and development, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people of all ethnic groups in Xinjiang.
