The Paper reported on Monday, according to data from the major online travel website Ctrip, that Chinese family travel spending in the first half of this year increased by 41% compared to 2020.

In 2020, 94.5% of family travelers chose hotel family rooms, 2.5% cabins, 1.2% tree houses, 1.1% tent camping, and 0.4% RV camping.

The number of camps in first- and second-tier cities has accounted for more than 50% of the country. According to data from Ctrip, 70% of parents bring their children to camp at least twice a year.

Ctrip said that although the current share of non-traditional accommodation is still low. It is growing rapidly and has broad prospects.
